Support

Something broken, something confusing, or something you wish Basis did? We would like to hear about it.

How to reach us

Email hello@thebasis.app. A person reads it, and you will normally have an answer within one business day.

Frequently asked questions

How do I export my data? Email us and we will send you a complete export of your account: tasks, notes, and files. A self-serve export button is coming; until it lands, we do it by hand and quickly.

How do I delete my account? Settings → Delete account. It removes your account and everything in it. If you would rather we did it, email us and we will, within 30 days. Export anything you want to keep first.

Is Basis available on Android? Not yet. Basis runs on the web in any modern browser, and there is a native iOS app. Android is on the list, without a date attached to it.

How do I change my password? Sign out and use Forgot password on the sign-in screen, and we will email you a reset link. If you sign in with Apple or Google, your password lives with them rather than with us.

Can I use Basis offline? Not currently. Basis needs a connection to load and to save. Offline support is something we want to build, but we would rather not pretend it works before it does.

What happens to my data if I cancel my subscription? Nothing is deleted when you cancel. Your content stays where it is, and you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. You can export everything at any point, before or after.

How is my data protected? It is encrypted in transit and at rest, and access is enforced at the database itself so a query can only return rows belonging to your account. The Privacy Policy has the detail, including every third party involved.

Where can I report a bug? hello@thebasis.app, or the Send feedback button in Settings. Screenshots help, and so does what you expected to happen.

Actively developed

Basis ships changes regularly. New things arrive often, and when you find something that could work better, telling us is the fastest way it gets fixed. Most of what we build next comes from what people report here.

Feedback

Feature requests, half-formed opinions, and “this felt wrong” are all welcome, and none of them need to be polished. Send them to hello@thebasis.app. See also the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
